The first trailer for Stranger Things 2 is here. It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived. If you haven’t seen the first season, do yourself a favor and watch it. It is awesome. Season 2 trailer its very nostalgic specifically if you are an 80’s kid like myself. I like the music and excitement from it. October 27th cant come soon enough.
Season 2 premieres October 27, 2017 on Netflix
Warner Bros and DC had a very busy SDCC. At long last, we get a title for The Flash stand alone film. Drum roll please… The title is Flashpoint, look I am glad to find out this epic story is finally hitting the big screen. But isn’t it a bit too early, we haven’t yet gotten an origin story for most of the Justice League. It looks to me like they might want to reboot some characters like Batman, since rumors are going around that Warner Bros wants to get rid of Ben Affleck. Anyway, let’s see what happens.
New Justice League poster looks amazing. I love the thought that it is inspired by Alex Ross’s art work. One minor complaint, it doesn’t need all of the writing. It takes away from the characters. Just “All in JL 11.17” would have been suffice. They also dropped a new JL trailer. Overall looks great, just some visual effects need some more work and I have a strange feeling that there isn’t going to be much character development. Hopefully I am wrong on that.
On the television end, we got a trailer for Arrow season 6, The Flash season 4, Gotham season 4, Legends of Tomorrow season 3 and Supergirl season 3. They look great, Stephen Amell looks better then ever as Green Arrow. The Flash seems to have a promising new season after that boring and predictable ending in season 3. While Gotham brings Bruce Wayne closer to his destiny as Batman. Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow definitely look like they are going to be a lot of fun.

San Diego Comic Con is finally complete. Here are few of the things that marvel studio showed off. On the picture slide you have the SDCC posters for Avengers Infinity War, Black Panther and Ant-man and Wasp also some concept art for Captain Marvel.
We also have the new trailers for The Defenders, Thor Ragnarok and Inhumans. The Defenders look’s great, it’s about time we get to watch all of these characters together on screen. Thor Ragnarok looks freaking awesome. They are definitely attempting to give it a Guardians of the Galaxy feel to it. Now when it comes to Inhumans. I am willing to grant them the benefit of the doubt. Marvel has done a respectable job with their Netflix shows and Agents of Shield. But put it this way from what I could tell it’s not worth seeing in IMAX. Let us know what you think and don’t forget to subscribe and follow us on social media. One last thing, the trailer for Avengers Infinity War was amazing. There is so much awesome stuff going on. Disney didn’t release the trailer but we heard their is leak copy out there in the web. May 2018 cant come soon enough.

In the nineties, when I was just a young madhatter, one of my favorite game genres to play was a fighting game. Any one-to-one combat peaked my interest and kept my attention till I had blisters on my fingers from playing too long. Brawler and side-scrolling games, like Alien Storm, gave me multiple enemies to fight and a good enough story line to keep me entertained. This combined with a science fiction theme where aliens disguised themselves as humans and mailboxes, trash cans, and more!
Alien Storm, made by Sega, hit the US in 1991. Aliens from somewhere in the universe, invade earth. It is up to the Alien Busters to fight these creatures and save the world. The Sega Genesis version (there were several official versions, on different game platforms, released and re-releases later on) had three characters you could play as. There was an arcade mode, duel mode, and a two-player mode. Each character has a specific weapon and a special ability. You can play as Gordon (thunder bazooka, gunship), Karla (fire blaster, ballistic missile), or Slammer (Electric whip, self-destruct technique). Using special attacks drain your energy and unless you’ve acquired energy by killing certain aliens or in the 3-D shooting range that auto-rolled, where you enter a building and save all the trapped citizens; the citizens that have not turned into aliens yet that is!
Alien Storm was quite the challenging game to play. There were a number of different aliens that had different moves and fighting styles. It was imperative to learn each alien and what moves/weapon was needed to kill them efficiently. Along with your character’s major attack and special attack, there were “special stunts” (jumps and attacks) that helped. In the arcade game play, you had but three credits (technically four lives) to last you until the end of several missions and bosses.
Alien Storm gave us a game play that combined two great elements for the time period, side-scrolling and brawler. You were given the opportunity to beat alien scum to dust with weapon combat and the element of surprise with not knowing what was coming next. For the time the graphics were the normal and the game was decently popular.
If you are looking for a retro game to download, or want to try a game from the early nineties, get Alien Storm. It is fun and addicting.
