Warner Bros animation and DC have had a great run with their animated movies. Too bad I can’t say the same thing about the live action films. But that discussion is for another day. While Justice League Dark is good, but it’s unquestionably one of the weakest films recently released. Some very unusual and violent crimes have been happening. From a mother throwing her child off the roof to someone killing their neighbors. The Justice League with the help of John Constantine and his dark heroes. Are on a mission to stop the darkness that has engulfed the planet.
Just like their previous films. The voice acting is top notch. Even Matt Ryan, who plays Constantine on the cancelled but great NBC show. Reprises his role in Dark. The remainder of the cast does a great job from Camilla Luddington to even Jason O’Mara’s Batman (but I still miss Kevin Conroy).
Actually my only issue with the film is the script. The characters aren’t developed well enough. Specially since I don’t know them as well as Batman or the rest of the league. Since the movie is short, it just keeps jumping from one action scene to another. But the story really doesn’t get anywhere.
Solid voice acting and exciting action sequences, save Justice League Dark from its weak script.
