Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is back for another explosive season but is it any good?
Yes it is and from this first episode I could tell it’s going to be on hell of a ride. Marvel finally gives us a Ghost Rider we deserve. Now, I’m not saying Nicholas Cage played a bad Ghost Rider. The films just weren’t any good. And another thing, this isn’t your Johnny Blaze Rider with a motorcycle. This is the latest incarnation of the character Robbie Reyes. He might have a different name and drive a muscle car, but it is the same Ghost Rider, flaming skull and all. What a great addition to the show he is. His addition gives the show a darker tone that reminds me of Netflix’s Marvel shows.
Agent Coulson and his team are also back. They are a bit broken after the events in season 3. Coulson is still the lite hearted agent we like. He also gives the show that needed balance.
I was bit skeptical about Ghost Rider being in S.H.I.E.L.D. Since they don’t have the budget of a big blockbuster film. I’m happy to say the visual effects are great. That first scene when Robbie Reyes changes to the Rider, was awesome.
With Quake on the run, Ghost Rider creating havoc and the Sakovia Accords the team has a lot of challenges in this new season. A must watch.
